Feedspotters unite!

Welcome, new followers. I'm in the process of figuring out if Feedspot is a legit site, as it says there's 53 of you! That's crazy wonderful, and I'd like to hear from you. Right now, don't finish reading this, comment something about yourself, or simply say HI. And then realize you have to do NaNoWriMo with me, because you're all awesome and we are going to stick together.
My boyfriend Sterling's birthday is tomorrow, as is my mother's. I have some presents I think he'll love, and I'm going shopping for my mom today. I took him out for frozen yogurt and a movie; it was wonderful. She'd rather spend her time smashing pecans with a hammer. Am I the only one in love with Jack Sparrow running around with paint on his face for two hours?
In preparation for NaNo I am taking my characters out for test drives. What this means is that I've fully developed who they are, and now I am placing them in situations that will not be included in my novel during November, and basically breaking into their minds, attempting to know all their inner workings. It's an interestingly fun exercise. You can see my first try here.
